Charlotte, NC - 11Giraffes announced the introduction of a new video wall solution designed for use in flagship retail locations, public spaces, large enterprise applications and other venues desiring very large format, high definition video. 11Giraffes' Synchronized Video Wall modularly tiles high definition displays in any shape, configuration or orientation desired to build eye-catching video walls that may scale to include over 200 screens.

Traditional video walls scale content across displays. This reduces video quality and restricts the experience to standard aspect ratios. 11Giraffes' Synchronized Video Wall allows for full high definition video, up to 1920 x 1080 resolutions, to play on each display in landscape, portrait, and even angled orientations. The entire solution is managed using 11Giraffes digital signage content management system and presented using either PC-based media players running 11Giraffes media player software or Samsung Smart Signage Platform (SSP) displays.

"By synchronizing HD video playback across multiple displays, we're able to create eye-catching arrays in any shape and size," says 11Giraffes Chief Technology Officer and Vice President of Operations, Jim Marascio. "Synchronized Video Walls are managed through our existing cloud-based interface. In doing so, this product complements our existing digital signage platform by allowing brands to create the ultimate visual experience in flagship locations, while concurrently allowing management of more traditional signage across an entire brand portfolio."

The solution is priced to be very competitive with existing video wall alternatives, and is immediately available through 11Giraffes and authorized 11Giraffes resellers. For more information and a demonstration video, visit http://11giraffes.com/synchronized-video-wall.

WIND Create the Perfect Storm for its Shoppers

Greece-based telecommunications company, WIND Hellas, recently launched a new store that promises to transform the way their customers shop.

As one of the largest telecommunication companies in Greece, WIND Hellas has opened its first new concept store in Marousi, Athens with an impressive launch. The newly refurbished store utilises several digitally interactive displays in a bid to reduce paper, eliminate pushy face-to-face sales and ultimately enhance the experience for the shopper.

In a dramatic drive to provide shoppers with a higher level of autonomy WIND have enlisted help from Acquire Digital to develop advanced digital point of sale (POS) systems that assist with the sales of handsets, mobile phone plans and broadband.

Mr. Kostas Tsaganos, WIND Chief Commercial Officer, at the launch said, ‘With the launch of our new stores we re-introduce WIND into the Greek retail market. We have completely changed the customer experience by creating a store that is digital, innovative, unique in the Greek market, and at the same time, is human-centric and friendly. Our investment will boost the market and at the same time will provide the Greek customer with a retail experience of international level.’ Customers can now easily determine product suitability by using the interactive POS display, comparing key features like camera spec and phone memory while simultaneously obtaining a comparison of monthly charges.

The store now boasts a large touch screen POS wall, which allows customers to browse handsets and tariffs; and an innovative Top 5 table top which displays physical mobile handsets in the more traditional fashion but plays engaging videos when handsets are picked up by customers. Neil Farr, Managing Director at Acquire Digital said, ‘one of the major challenges for the team was primarily understanding the vast array of tariffs available in Greece. We had to find a way of presenting these in a simpler format while providing customers with the ability to discover the best options and deals for them.’

The POS wall is powered by the advance Acquire software engine and underwent further development to create a unique solution designed for the project. The end-user interface, comprising of an easy-to-up-date database was also specifically designed by the Acquire team to enable shop staff to make easy and instant changes to data displayed on the digital screens.

Neil Farr attended the opening of store and added, ‘this is a great investment for WIND and one that will set them apart from its competitors. At a time when other UK-based mobile phone companies are going into administration it is clear that mobile phone companies are not exempt from falling behind as a result of failing to move with the times. By working with us WIND have succeeded in making their in-store experience much more appealing by empowering the customer.’

WIND will continue to work collaboratively with Acquire Digital to roll out the concept store across the country by the end of 2015.

Go2Digital, LLC Selects BroadSign International, LLC for Digital Signage in Croatian Shopping Malls

Initial deployment consists of 50 double-sided totems in 17 malls across Croatia.

Zagreb, Croatia. Oct. 28, 2014. Croatian digital signage network, Go2Digital, LLC, has selected BroadSign International, LLC’s cloud-based digital signage software to power its screens in shopping malls – the first network of its kind in the country.

The initial deployment consists of 50 double-sided totems with 65” screens across the top 17 malls in Croatia. Reaching over 2.2 million unique visitors each month, Go2Digital’s network has more viewers than the nation’s leading online portal and most-watched TV channel.

“BroadSign’s focus on ad-based DOOH networks and great references are what initially drew Go2Digital to its platform,” said Edin Pasalic, CEO and Co-Founder at Go2Digital. “Now that we’ve completed deployment, BroadSign’s automation allows us to minimize operating costs by maintaining a large network with one employee and maximize advertising opportunities by using criteria to quickly target campaigns to specific screens. These features demonstrate just why BroadSign is the number one provider of digital signage software.”

Running an ad-based model, Go2Digital accommodates the short shopping mall dwell time with 90-second loops divided into 15-second slots. Advertisers like Samsung, Unilever and Croatia’s leading telecommunications provider, Hrvatski Telekom, target specific audiences at certain times of the day through unique and interactive campaigns that complement or serve as a substitute to national TV and online outlets.

“The BroadSign platform is a robust and reliable means for enterprise networks to push the envelope when it comes to widespread advertising campaigns that rely on hyperlocal targeting,” said Skip Beloff, Vice President of Sales at BroadSign. “Go2Digital understands the Croatian market and we look forward to enabling its establishment of the largest national DOOH network as it expands into additional shopping malls and verticals.”

Go2Digital plans on bringing screens into supermarkets, transit venues and city networks, with a goal of 500 screens throughout Croatia in the near future. “We are following in the footsteps of major global network operators in terms of our regional strategy, verticals and of course, selecting the industry standard for software,” added Pasalic.

BroadSign International, LLC and Blue Bite Announce Mobile Partnership for Digital Out-of-Home

BroadSign and Blue Bite will collaborate on digital signage networks’ mobile strategies and campaigns.

New York, NY. November 3, 2014. Blue Bite, the Mobile Standard in OOH™, and BroadSign International, LLC, top provider of cloud-based digital signage software, have announced a partnership intended to simplify and enhance the mobile component of digital signage campaigns.

As mobile is incorporated into an increasing number of digital signage programs, BroadSign and Blue Bite will harness the power of the former’s robust content management platform and the latter’s mTAG technology to deliver mobile marketing solutions in North America and worldwide.

“Blue Bite’s method of bridging the gap between digital and physical worlds through mobile is second to none, so it’s no surprise that its dominant market share consists of many BroadSign customers requiring reliable and innovative suppliers,” said Daniel Parisien, Vice President of Marketing and Strategy at BroadSign. “It is important that our partners offer the same level of quality and service that BroadSign has built its reputation upon – and the culture fit with Blue Bite is definitely present.”

In addition to sharing premium customers like Adspace Networks, Pikasso and JCDecaux, BroadSign and Blue Bite have an aligned vision regarding the future of digital out-of-home. Both companies believe in a technology-agnostic approach to mobile, with Blue Bite implementing the best fitting set of mobile onramps for each deployment and BroadSign functioning as a standardized and trusted means of content scheduling, display and reporting.

"BroadSign is a leader in the digital signage industry and we feel that a combined approach will offer a best-in-class platform for the digital out-of-home community,” said Mikhail Damiani, CEO at Blue Bite. “Furthermore, BroadSign gives us the ability to scale our footprint and deliver a larger mobile audience to Blue Bite’s brand and agency partners."

Blue Bite and BroadSign are optimistic that the partnership will promote the benefits of allocating advertising dollars to DOOH media, from more effective consumer engagement to increased ROI. In offering advertisers the seamless ability to plan and execute campaigns with real time analytics and performance reports, the companies foresee rises in acceptance of and demand for integrated digital signage and mobile solutions – a trend that will further aid in the integration of current OOH and mobile practices for media agencies.

Such aspirations complement the Digital Place Based Advertising Association’s “video everywhere” approach to digital signage, an organization of which Blue Bite and BroadSign are members. Representatives from both parties will be present at the 2014 Video Everywhere Summit.

Kramer Electronics announced today the release of the VP−427 Receiver/Scaler, a cost−effective two−in−one HDBaseT™ receiver solution with a built−in scaler.

Turtle Beach Corporation Announces First Wide-Scale Deployment of HyperSound Virtual Reality Audio Zones

Innovative Solution for In-Store Audio Featured in Massive Roll-out of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Retail Displays

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Turtle Beach Corporation (NASDAQ: HEAR), a leading innovator of audio products and solutions, today announced the company's HyperSound® virtual reality audio solution has been implemented in Activision's Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare retail displays. The displays have been installed in 987 Best Buy locations in North America. The installation represents the largest implementation of virtual reality audio in a retail setting.

"This marquee implementation of HyperSound will change the way retailers think about retail audio," said Rodney Schutt, SVP and General Manager of HyperSound. "This is the first, large-scale implementation of a new generation of retail audio that is unlike anything that has been done before."

HyperSound audio emitters and a sub-woofer are integrated into the base of the retail display. They create a zone of audio that encompasses anyone standing in front of the display. The quality of the audio is three dimensional, creating a virtual reality effect that is similar to wearing a pair of surround sound headsets. The engineers at Turtle Beach have recently developed a new approach to HyperSound's digital signal processing that creates a more immersive, three-dimensional audio experience.

HyperSound represents a revolutionary new way to deliver targeted brand and product messages in store. Site-specific, targeted point-of-sale messaging can provide a number of benefits to retailers, including increased engagement and dwell time, and increased average revenue per customer. Because HyperSound creates a controlled sound zone, multiple displays can gain the benefits of audio in the same store without conflicting. To date, the use of audio with displays and kiosks has been limited by the noise bleed associated with traditional speakers, and the sound reflection and low volumes associated with earlier versions of directional audio.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the latest installment of the incredibly successful Call of Duty® franchise. Call of Duty title launches have become an annual entertainment event and retail phenomenon, with fans across the world heading to stores for midnight launch events.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, developed by Sledgehammer Games, envisions the powerful battlegrounds of the future, where both technology and tactic have evolved to usher in a new era of combat for the franchise. Advanced Warfare launches November 4 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation®3, PlayStation®4, and PC.

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare kiosks were installed in Best Buy locations during the last two weeks of October.

ACTIVISION, CALL OF DUTY, and CALL OF DUTY ADVANCED WARFARE are trademarks of Activision Publishing, Inc.

Acquire Digital today announce the release of their re-vamped Content Management Solution, which promises to provide users with the ultimate user experience.

Following a major re-brand, the team at Acquire Digital have re-developed their entire product portfolio, providing customers with a comprehensive range of dynamic, interactive digital signage, and digital out of home market solutions.

Following significant changes and a major redevelopment of the flagship product Acquire, Acquire 4 promises to be more intuitive, flexible and affordable. Uniquely, Acquire 4 provides users with the ability to continually add new features and functionality to the main editor by optionally adding Apps.

Apps come in individual app packs, each carefully constructed for specific aims of objectives. Keywest Technology Introduces 6-Channel Video Wall Player

0

The Breeze multi-head player brings an affordable way to have large-scale visual impact with the simplicity of a single media player that doubles as a video wall controller. Supporting 1080P on each digital screen, inspiring video walls are now in the grasp of aspiring businesses that refuse to settle for ordinary.

LENEXA, Kan. (December 3, 2014)– Keywest Technology has launched a multi-head digital signage player using a powerful Intel® Core™ i7 CPU running on an Ubuntu® open source software platform. The multi-head player supports up to six 1080P channels, which provide a total resolution of 11,520 x 6,480 pixels, giving it the ability to create impressive video walls using thin bezel LCD screens. The player is controlled via the company’s cloud-based digital signage service called Breeze Digital Signage®.

Breaking tradition from the miniature-sized media players that are common today, the multi-head player is housed in a rugged 1.5RU server chassis that is designed for 24/7 operation. It uses an integrated six-port HDMI display card with Mini DisplayPort outputs. The chassis also uses a beefy 400W PSU with two internal cooling fans and a typical front to back flow-thru design for superior heat management.

“Our 6-head digital signage player gives system integrators, interior designers and architects an attractive choice for designing large displays with readily available thin-bezel LCD technology,” commented Keywest Technology’s President Nick Nichols. “The 6-head digital signage player is designed to work with all commercial-grade LCD products, allowing AV designers to implement video walls or menu arrays with only a few components. This is an ideal technology for creating larger-than-life images that are attractive, affordable and reliable.”

The Breeze Multi-Head 6 player is really two products in one. First and foremost, it is a digital signage media player. The player connects to a cloud server to download and cache content automatically or based on a schedule. Automatic content is typically sourced from built-in widgets that pull data from Internet or third-party sources. The widgets allow for multiple weather, news and RSS feeds, but third-party providers deliver syndicated and customized content feeds.

Another way of controlling content is by scheduling playlists through an online editor. The 6-head player can be easily controlled from anywhere using the Internet. For example, an administrator or assigned user logs in to their secured account on the BreezeDigitalSignage.com website. From there, access is given to upload media, create playlists, and schedule playlists based on date and time of day. Advanced digital signage management tools like nested playlists, an advertising module, and an admin approval queue are also provided.

The second function of the 2-in-1 multi-head player is the multi-screen controller, which performs similarly to a video wall controller. The supplied setup software allows up to 6 screens to be configured, either in landscape or portrait orientation. This gives some variation and flexibility on the outcome, with users deciding to have individual content on each channel or preferring to spread content to all of the displays combined. In either scenario, the displays must all be of the same model and resolution, with 1080P being the preferred default.

The Breeze Multi-Head 6 is being delivered now, with several notable installations including the fully restored and updated Orpheum Theater in downtown Omaha, Nebraska. AV system integrators, architectural media designers and digital signage resellers are encouraged to inquire for more information on the Breeze Digital Signage website: http://www.breezedigitalsignage.com/
