Videotel Digital Celebrates its Successful 2015 Year in Review

Enjoying the success 2015 brought, Videotel Digital announces a dynamic year in review. Specializing in digital solutions for retail, hospitality, restaurants, healthcare and educational as well as government agencies, the company shows its dexterity. They began the year with an award given at the first DSE show they attended. They ended it with an iconic So Cal company singing the praises of their newly launched product. Somewhere in between, they humbly managed to celebrate 35 successful years in business.


Awarded at DSE 2015 by rAVe Publications as the Best New Digital Signage Solution, it was there that Videotel demonstrated Elevate. The accolade for customer facing technology is for the largest installation of large format QSR outdoor digital displays which are currently being rolled out at all Starbucks drive-thru locations in the U.S. The 46” LCD screens create camera to camera interaction similar to FaceTime® resulting in an improved barista / customer connection.


The majority of QSR sales are derived from the drive-thru lane and Starbucks recognized the need to bring the barista to the customer’s car through the use of digital technology.


There were two main challenges. The first was posed by the outdoor environment requiring a display that could withstand extreme heat without the noise and interference of an air conditioner while protecting against rain, dust, cold and snow. The second challenge was to improve customer satisfaction by the creation of face time with the barista. To drive increased loyalty, Starbucks needed to re-vamp the ‘old school’ signage in the drive-thru.

Its universal design can be easily configured to support most LED brands and sizes by simply changing out display-specific adapter plates.


The mounting system’s easy hang wall plate enables a fast, trouble-free installation and handles on either side of the mount provide easy mount articulation without the risk of damage to the LED display. In addition, integrated cable management allows for a clean finish.


Adjustment to the LED Mounting System is simple and installer-friendly. A jacking screw feature allows the entire video wall to be plumb adjusted once all the LED displays are installed. Each mount has four-corner depth adjustment and a first row levelling function assures all the LED displays align for a seamless appearance.


Peerless-AV’s Universal Modular LED Mounting System will be available for custom order through its network of distributors and resellers in Q2 2016.
